What is the LEED Certification?
Situated in the central business district of Beijing, World Financial Center is 100 meters tall. The magnificent scyscraper is built in postmodernist style. It is the heart of China’s Commercial Property Market and not only houses financial firms, banks, multinational companies, but also meets all their requirements concerning security, property management, convenient and eco-friendly working environment. Moreover, due to flexible floor area, the tenants can modify the interior according to their specific needs. The architect of World Financial Center is Cesar Pelli, the world-renowed “author” of similar centers in the USA, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, etc.
Nowadays, while choosing their future office location, many prestigious companies take into consideration such crucial factors as sustainable design, reduction of emissions, green working environment and water and energy efficiency. World Financial Center in Beijing satisfies all these requirements. In 2010, the extraordinary high-rise building was awarded LEED Platinum certification. The building also features an indoor winter garden. The center consists of two 24-floor towers - Eastern and Western. The developer of the project is Henderson Land Group. Construction began in 1996 and was complete in 1998. Floor area is 116,000 sq meters. The corewall in the lobbies is designed with crystal walls, the masterpiece of German artist Michael Hammers.
