Located in Dubai Techno Park, the 5-storey Pacific Controls Headquarters occupies about 1114 square meters (or 120.000 square feet). Opened on September 1, 2006, the center specializes in developing and offering automation solutions and presenting them in the international market. As the Chairman of Pacific Controls, Dilip Rahulan stated, the project shows the advantages of use of alternative energy in commercial buildings. The main emphasis is on efficient use of water and energy, as well as recycled materials and indoor quality. The corporation takes part in a number of campaigns, associations and environmental initiatives. The building includes a serving center for the Middle East, called Center of Excellence. The green building can provide 400 employees with high-quality office space. The cost of the project was $25 million. It’s the first LEED Platinum-certified building in the Middle East. Besides, the complex received The Best Intelligent Building Award. The main “green” features of the building are - CO2 monitoring, soil erosion measures, solar photovoltaic panels, use of organic compounds in carpets, thermal air conditioning system, etc.
