What is the LEED Certification?Founded in 1997, BG (British Gas Exploration and Production India Ltd.) is an international energy company which explores and extracts natural gas and oil, and sells it to companies producing electricity. This multinational organization which controls a huge network of pipelines, has offices in more than 25 countries. Situated in Powai, suburbs of Mumbai, the LEED Platinum-certified building meets all the requirements of sustainable design. Designed by architect Hafeez Contractor, it’s an energy-efficient construction, with healthy interior and eco-friendly working space. Besides daylight and perfect ventilation system, the workers of the office also enjoy the view of the city. The main “green” elements of the building are: atriums and high performance glazing, a CO2 monitoring system, use of low emitting materials, etc. BG House in Mumbai is the 4th Platinum-certified building in India.
