Urban Cactus, Rotterdam, Netherlands

The building has received its name because of its architectural shape and environmentally friendly features. Architects of cactus are Ben Huygen and Jasper Jaegers from UCX Architects. Housing project sits on the picturesque Vuurplaat harbor and will accommodate 98 residential units within its 19 floors. Each apartment owner will have a big terraces surrounded by luscious greenery. Construction of the building began in 2006.
