What is the LEED Certification?

Opened in June 2007, Signature Centre is a 5-story Class A office building, with 17,280 square meters (186,000 square feet) gross floor area. The building is owned by IVG Institutional Funds, a German real-estate company. The office building built, developed and designed by Aardex LLC, the previous owner of the Center. Construction costs $46 million. Located at Denver West Parkway.

The Signature Centre has large windows and high ceilings, thanks to which 92% of indoor space is full of daylight. The surrounding landscape was designed by Godi & Associates. Water use in the building is reduced by 47%. The energy-efficient center uses 37% less energy than any building of the same size. The surrounding landscape is planted with native drought tolerant plants. The main goal of the owners of the building was to apply factors of sustainability, provide good indoor air quality, use low VOC materials, provide access to public transportation, etc., The building is ''armed'' with photo- and occupancy sensors, floor ventilation system, boilers for supplying hot water, interior and exterior light shelves, water units for providing cold water, etc. The building also includes 10400 square meters underground parking lot (112,000 square feet).

Signature Centre is the first building in Colorado which earned the highest -LEED Platinum certification.
